Originally this space consisted of a small kitchen and eat-in dining area by the back door. It made for a crowed area for this family of teenage boys.

The goal was to create an open concept area where kids could hang out while mom cooked dinner. We worked with a local engineer to remove load bearing walls making the kitchen more than twice the size, but still allowing ample space for relaxing.

White shaker cabinets and quartz counter top brightened up the space. The new kitchen island is multi functional, serving as the kitchen table for meals and a work space in the evening.
